Allan Gray Makers Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition 2024

About Allan Gray Makers

In 2018, the concept of the Allan Gray Makers program was implemented as the trustees’ ideas about entrepreneurship in Africa gravitated towards technical and vocational trades. The Allan Gray Makers programme was born as a pilot project because that time involvement of vocational work was not prominent in the Gray entities. The pilot aimed to prove models that work in this new vocational and technical context in South Africa to accelerate entrepreneurship and create jobs. After experimenting with various models, the programme was initiated across South Africa, later spreading to the African continent.

They work with a mission to empower, prosperous, productively engaged South African citizens to thrive in ethical societies with dignity and hope. Allan Gray Makers aims to offer entrepreneurial education to a minimum of 300,000 individuals specializing in technical and vocational trades, by 2030.
