About Inscape

Inscape Education Group is one of the oldest privately-owned multidisciplinary creative arts institutions in South Africa and a non-profit company. For more than three decades, the institution has been providing accredited courses (higher certificates, diplomas and degrees) within the built environment and the creative sector.

Registered under the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), students applying to Inscape have the facility to study in one of the campuses of Inscape in South Africa (located in Cape Town, Durban, Midrand, Pretoria and Stellenbosch) or in Dubai, United Arab Emirates through distance or online learning.

The Inscape Scholarship Program started in 2014 and since its establishment, it has provided more than R11 million worth of funding to the scholarships.

Inscape Scholarship 2024

Inscape Educational Trust is inviting students to apply for their scholarships in the upcoming academic year. Postgraduate scholarships will be provided to students pursuing Bachelor of Arts Honors in Design for the upcoming academic year.

South Africa needs designers and this scholarship helps in nurturing the passion of the budding designers.

Academic excellence shown by the students will determine the availability of the scholarships i.e., whether partial or full scholarship will be awarded to the applicant.

The Inscape team will provide opportunities to join the team once you have completed the program. You will also have to participate in a lecture program that will determine the facilitation of work in the appropriate department at Inscape.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, monthly expenses, transport, parking, administration fees, accommodation, and resubmissions expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants have to meet the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of South Africa
  • The candidate must have completed NQF level qualification with an average of 60%.
  • Students have to be registered at an Inscape campus in South Africa (the locations are Salt River, Stellenbosch, Morningside, Halfway Gardens, and Waterkloof Glen), pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Honors in Design full-time.
  • The applicant must be committed to pursuing a career in learning upon completing the scholarship; the candidate would be required to act as a teacher assistant for the scholarship academic year with a workload of 4 hours per week.

Documents Required

The following documents are required to be considered eligible for the scholarship:

  • Final transcripts or academic reports
  • Copy of your CV
  • A motivation letter outlining the initial proposal and the final intention for a final project; the letter should not exceed 1500 words.

Closing Date

The closing date for the Inscape Scholarship is 1 January 2024. Applications submitted after the given date will not be considered by the scholarship panel.
