Sasria encourages students to apply for its bursary program for the upcoming academic year. The program aims to support studies in fields deemed as scarce skills, fostering a pipeline of talented individuals. Bursaries are available for undergraduate studies in specific fields:

  • BIT-Bachelor of Information Technology in Mathematics and Business Science
  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Business Economics
  • Insurance
  • Information Technology (BSc)
  • Investment

Requirements and Eligibility Of Sasria Bursary

Before you apply for the bursary, ensure that you meet the minimum entry criteria outlined. If these requirements are not met, your application will not be considered:

  • You need to be a South African citizen.
  • Your age should be between 18 and 35 years.
  • Currently enrolled in Matric (in 2023) or have completed it.
  • You plan to study full-time for an undergraduate degree in the above-specified fields.
  • Maintain a minimum 70% overall average (B symbol) in Matric.
  • The applicant must be entering their first year of study in 2024.
  • The applicant must intend to enroll at a recognized and accredited South African university.

Documents Required

Ensure you enclose clear copies of the requested supporting documents when submitting your application form. It is crucial to include all required items, as the absence of any may result in the disqualification of your application:

  • Certified copies of both sides of your ID document.
  • If completed Matric, provide a certified copy of your Matric certificate.
  • If currently in Matric, submit a certified copy of your latest Grade 12 report (Term 1, 2, or 3).
  • Certified copies of ID documents for parents or guardians.
  • Proof of income (certified copies) for parents or guardians, including most recent payslips if employed, an affidavit if unemployed, an affidavit declaring monthly income if self-employed, or an affidavit or death certificate if deceased.
  • Write a motivational letter supporting your application, highlighting your academic and leadership achievements, and explaining why you should be considered for the bursary.
