SepFluor Limited was founded in the year 2004 and is evolving as a new and leading name in the fluorspar mining, exploring, and beneficiation industry, globally as well as in South Africa. SepFluor is an HDSA (Historically Disadvantaged South African) compliant company.
Headquartered in Gauteng, the company aims to become an industry-leading and reliable supplier of fluorochemicals and fluorspar.
The main focus of the SepFluor company right now is its mining operations across the Wallmannsthal Fluorspar Mine and Nokeng Fluorspar Mine projects, both located in the northeast of Pretoria. Adding to this, there is also a fluorochemical beneficiation plant at Ekandustria, close to Bronkhorstspruit.
Nokeng Mine has a current estimated life of 19 years with 3 top-quality, adjacent haematite-fluorspar deposits namely- Wiltin, Outwash Fan, and Plattekop. Out of these, Plattekop and Outwash Fan have an estimated total Mineral Reserve of 12 Mt (SAMREC-compliant). On the other hand, the Wallmannsthal Fluorspar Mine has an estimated Mineral Reserve of 7.9Mt (SAMREC-compliant).
Apart from these two main projects, SepFluor has other assets that are at an early exploration stage, namely- Kruidfontein and Welgelegen/Welgevonden Fluorspar Deposits.
SepFluor is planning to develop a fluorochemical beneficiation plant to cater to the growing demand for fluorochemical products in global and South African markets. South African Government strongly supports the development of fluorochemical initiatives and downstream beneficiation of minerals in the country.
