A TVET, Technical and Vocational Education and Training, college is an internationally recognised term that is given to educational institutions that involve the study of technologies and related sciences in the acquisition of practical skills, attitudes, understanding and knowledge relating to professional occupations.
TVET colleges were introduced to South Africa in 2012 and there are now 50 TVET colleges across South Africa. All of the previously existing FET (Further Education Training) colleges changed their names to TVET colleges under the management of the DHET (Department of Higher Education and Training).

Flavius Mareka TVET College has three campuses. The Sasolburg campus has two sites specializing in Engineering Studies and Business Studies courses respectively. The other two campuses- Kroonstad campus and Mphohadi campus- are located in the Kroonstad area.

Central Johannesburg TVET College
Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) was established on 11th September 2003. The College has eight campuses, i.e. Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street and Troyville. The eight campuses are spread within a radius of approximately 10km from the Central Office in Parktown. Its mission to lead our students to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities that contribute to economic development, through responsive education and training interventions.
Ekurhuleni East TVET College (EEC) is located in five towns of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM). These are: Springs, Kwa-Thema, Daveyton, Benoni and Brakpan. There are however six college sites that are spreading across the five towns. These sites comprises of five campuses offering mainly NCV and Report 191 programmes while the sixth one is a center of specialisation. The campuses offering NCV and Report 191 programmes to comprise of Benoni Campus, Brakpan Campus, Daveyton Campus, Kwa-Thema Campus as well as Springs Campus. Tshwane North TVET College
Tshwane North Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College (TNC), is situated in the Greater Tshwane Metropolis of Gauteng. It consists of a Corporate Office situated in the inner city of Pretoria and campuses, namely Mamelodi, Pretoria, Temba, Rosslyn, Soshanguve South and Soshanguve North. Elangeni TVET College is spread out across Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. It. is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institute that offers full-time, part-time and long-distance learning with a wide range of programmes across eight campuses. Ehlanzeni TVET College
Ehlanzeni TVET College was founded from the result of seven merged campuses. These campuses include the former Nelspruit, Mlumati, and Kanyamazane Technical Colleges. The former Waterval Boven Environmental Centre and Mthimba Foundation for Education with Production (FEP) were also merged into the Ehlanzeni FET Institution.
Combination of six campuses in the towns of Ermelo, Evander, Standerton, Dundonald, Perdekop and Balfour. The college offers educations and training in SAQA affiliated courses and allows student to obtain senior certificates and engineering certificates as well as providing corporate training for specific needs.
Nortner Cape Urban TVET College was formed partly from the amalgamation of 3 technical colleges in Kimberley; Moremogolo Technical College, R C Elliott Technical College and Northern Cape Technical College.
Taletso TVET College is the result of a merger between Lehurutshe College of Education, Mafikeng College and Lichtenburg College. The three campuses are situated in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality of the North West Province.
College of Cape Town is located in the central area of the Peninsula and provides training for the greater Cape Town area. The college also accepts students from all other regions of South Africa, Namibia and other African countries as well as countries abroad. The college consists of seven campuses and the central office is located in Salt River, Cape Town.
