Sakata invites students who are passionate about a career in agriculture to apply for their bursary program for the academic year 2024. Bursaries are eligible for Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in the Agriculture sector
Every year, the Sasol Agriculture Trust offers bursaries to a certain number of students. Known as the Sasol Agriculture Trust Bursary scheme, it aims to help disadvantaged students complete their education in agricultural sciences so they can contribute to the industry.
The Sorghum postgraduate scholarship program is designed for those students who wish to pursue Master’s or Doctoral studies in the fields that are specified by the Sorghum Trust. Scholarship is granted to 2 students for a value of R30 000 each. Students will receive funding based on the academic reports and performance of the students.
The agency offers financial assistance to a certain number of students every year in the form of bursaries. Known as the SACTA NPC bursary, it aims to fund student’s education and help meet the labor demand. The bursary amount depends on the level of study. Students pursuing a Masters degree can expect funding of R95,000 per annum for two years. Students pursuing a PhD or Doctoral degree will receive funding of R125,000 per annum for three years.
