About IIE-Vega
IIE-Vega is an educational brand of the IIE (the Independent Institute of Education) founded in 1999 to promote advertising, and conventional marketing when it comes to design, branding, and business. Seeing the rapidly evolving global trends, IIE-Vega wants to educate and train talented, passionate, and eager-to-learn young minds in South Africa so that they can explore the new world of creativity.
IIE-Vega is established upon fundamental elements such as Critical thinking, Complex Problem Solving, and Creativity.
The School imparts knowledge to the students through practical, strategic, and conceptual approaches. It offers the following accredited qualifications:
- Certificates
- Honors
- Master’s Programmes
- Doctoral PhD
- Baccalaureates
These qualifications are of the same standard as those of a private or public university. Mainly, these qualifications focus on brand management, brand strategy, innovation, leadership, and brand communication.
IIE Vega School Scholarship 2024
IIE Vega is declaring its Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2024. The Scholarship is directed toward matriculants who are interested in being a creator, developing strategic thinking, and who is ready to face challenges to stand out from others.
The IIE-Vega Scholarship will offer twenty scholarships, valued at R50,000 for the academic year 2024.
These scholarships are only for NEW 2024 Undergraduate students.
Students enrolled at any of Vega’s 4 campuses in South Africa (in Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Pretoria) can apply.
Specialized courses offered at these institutions are as follows:
- Copywriting
- Brand Management
- Creative Brand Communication
- Digital Marketing
- Design Leadership
- Communication Design
- Interior Design
- Game Design
- Video Photography
- Experience Design
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the IIE-Vega School Scholarship, students must fulfill the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be in Matric currently or have completed Matric
- Must be a NEW Undergraduate student at IIE-Vega School in 2024
- Must enroll at either of the 4 Vega campuses mentioned above

To apply for the IIE-Vega School Scholarship 2024, you must complete a general Undergraduate application form first to study for a qualification at the IIE-Vega School.

Submitting a Motivation letter along with the Application Form is compulsory. Complete the Motivation letter at the following link:
IIE-Vega Scholarship Motivation Letter
Important Note:
- The main purpose of the motivation letter is that the Scholarship Committee will be able to shortlist the candidates based on their passion for being a creator, thinking critically, finding solutions, and standing out from the crowd. This will be in addition to their academic merit.
- The Motivation Letter and Supporting documents will contribute 70% of the total score for your scholarship application. The remaining 30% will be judged based on your most recent (Grade 12 or Grade 11) academic results with an average of the top 4 subjects.
- Each committee member will score your motivation letter separately and then calculate an average score.
- Originality, self-expression, and your ability to convince and communicate your ideas and goals precisely will be deciding your score. Hence, students must answer each question in the motivation letter carefully and thoughtfully to impose maximum impact.
Documents Required
When applying for the IIE-Vega School Scholarship, make sure to attach the following required documents along with the complete application form:
- Most recent academic results (Grade 11 or Grade 12 or equivalent)
- Motivational letter explaining why you deserve to receive this Scholarship
If you want to add extra weight, credibility, and consideration to your application, you can add extra documentation such as:
- Portfolio of work
- Creative writing
- Any campaign you have envisioned
- Video, Reel, GIF, or any other creative expression that determines your creative thinking and ability to make a difference.
Closing Date
The application deadline is 1 November 2023.
Important Note:
- Scholarships are limited.
- Successful students will be notified by 25 November 2023 in writing.
- Applications submitted after 1 November 2023 will be disqualified
- Incomplete applications or missing documents will directly result in your application being rejected.
