How To Register On The UKZN Student Central At The University Of Kwazulu Natal

Students who have got acceptance to the University of Kwazulu Natal need to log into the UKZN Student central. If you have gained entry to the university, here are the steps that you need to follow to create your student account and enter the profile.

UKZN Registration steps 

  • Step 1: Go to the University of Kwazulu Natal UKZN Student Central’s official website by clicking on the link.
  • Step 2: Once the registration process begins, the link for New Registration will appear on the homepage. This link will take you to a page where you can register for a new account.
  • Step 3: A window will appear, prompting you to provide your basic information, including your email address, name, phone number, and gender.
  • Step 4: Select the Save option.

How to log into UKZN student central

To gain access to UKZN’s student central: 

  1. Go to to get to the student central page.
  2. Fill in the blank space with your student number. 
  3. To continue, click Proceed.
  4. To login, enter your password.

How to reset your UKZN password

Change your UKZN Student Central Password using the Online Password Self Service at To utilize the Online Password Self Service, you must have your current password. Both on and off-campus, the Online Password Self Service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you forget your password, you can receive a new one by going to the ICS Walk-in Centre with your UKZN staff card or by sending an email to with a scanned copy of your card and your cell phone number. A new password will be sent to you through SMS.

Using the MyUKZN Mobile App, reset your UKZN Network password.

  • You can also reset your lost password using the MyUKZN Mobile App. However, you must first download the App to your phone or tablet to access this service since you must be a registered user.
  • Because it uses your mobile phone number to send you an SMS message, the MyUKZN Mobile App needs that you have captured your mobile phone number in the ITS iEnabler system.
  • To use the MyUKZN Mobile App, you must be logged in.
  • Go to the Self-Help menu (swipe right on one of the menu items if you don’t see the Self-Help menu).
  • “Change My LAN Account Password” is the option.
  • Make a new password and then submit it. 

UKZN Students Login Troubleshoots

  • Make sure the CAPS Lock is on/off.
  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
  • Before trying again, double-check that your internet connection is active and connected to the internet.
  • Use a VPN sparingly.

If you cannot remember your password, follow the steps we have posted below: 

  • Select Password Reset from the drop-down menu.
  • Click Have you forgotten your password?
  • Click Continue after entering your UKZN Username.
  • Click Continue after entering your mobile number (or, if you didn’t register one, your secondary email address).
  • Your mobile phone will receive a one-time password (OTP) token (or alternate email address).
  • After entering the OTP, click Continue.
  • Click Change Password after entering your new password in both fields.
  • Click the Logout button.
  • Restart your computer/device if you’re using Windows.
  • Update your password in any apps you’ve saved it (for example, a WiFi connection or an email client).
