The AGSA Bursary Programme is the Auditor-General of South Africa's own employer bursary for students pursuing the Chartered Accountancy (CA) route at SAICA-accredited universities. Eligibility Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Currently in Matric or completed Matric, or already studying at a SAICA-accredited university
  • Studying full-time toward a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification
  • Matric applicants: minimum 60% in English and 60% in Mathematics (Pure Maths, not Maths Literacy)
  • Continuing students: minimum 60% in Financial Accounting (grade thresholds increase by year of study, up to around 55% for all core modules for final-year students)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with leadership potential
  • Must serve articles / enter a training contract with AGSA after graduating
