South Africa Wine Bursary Programme
The South Africa Wine Bursary Programme funds South African students pursuing scarce and critical-skills qualifications for the wine industry - including viticulture and oenology, cellar technology, agricultural economics and microbiology. It covers full tuition fees and offers hands-on industry exposure, with graduates able to apply for a one-year practical placement at a South Africa Wine member.

South Africa Wine NPC (administered in-house by the People Development team) supports students in the following disciplines

- ✓ In Matric or have completed Matric
- ✓ Studying (or planning to study) toward a scarce/critical-skills wine or agriculture qualification at an accredited South African institution
- ✓ Demonstrated passion for and commitment to the wine industry
- ✓ Currently unemployed
- ✓ Not receiving other bursaries or funding
- ✓ Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply

Steps to complete your South Africa Wine NPC (administered in-house by the People Development team) bursary application

Confirm you meet the eligibility criteria (citizenship/residency, Matric status, unemployment, no other funding, and a wine-related qualification)

Prepare and certify your supporting documents, including a fee quote and motivational letter

Complete the online Google Form application linked from the South Africa Wine website

Upload your certified supporting documents and POPI consent as required

Submit before the closing date (the most recent cycle closed on 31 October), then wait for shortlisting and selection by the People Development team
