SANZAF Bursary Programme (SEED Education, Empowerment & Development)
The SANZAF Bursary Programme, run under the South African National Zakah Fund's SEED (Education, Empowerment & Development) initiative, provides partial tuition assistance to financially needy students at recognised South African universities, universities of technology and technikons. Funding is an outright Zakah grant (not a loan, so there is no repayment) and is paid directly to the educational institution. It is need-based and open across fields of study; applicants are encouraged to also apply for NSFAS and other funding to cover the balance, and deadlines vary by SANZAF regional office.
