SASAS Post-Graduate Bursary
The SASAS Post-Graduate Bursary supports SASAS student members pursuing Honours or Master's degrees in Animal Science or Animal Production at South African universities. The value is set each year by the SASAS Council and paid in two annual instalments directly to the recipient, conditional on their SASAS membership remaining valid. It targets exceptional (cum laude) graduates committed to completing their studies within set time limits.

South African Society for Animal Science (SASAS) (administered in-house by the SASAS Secretariat; applications submitted to The Secretary by email) supports students in the following disciplines
Eligibility Requirements
- ✓ Must be at least a student member of SASAS
- ✓ Must have graduated from a South African university with at least a BSc (Agric.) in Animal Science or Animal Production (nationality not a restriction)
- ✓ Must be a postgraduate student registered for an Honours or Master's degree in Animal Science / Animal Production at a South African university
- ✓ Must have an exceptional academic record (cum laude)
- ✓ Must complete the Honours degree within 2 years and the Master's degree within 4 years (10% interest clawback applies if studies are not completed)
- ✓ Submit a certified copy of the graduation certificate(s) already obtained
- ✓ Submit a certified copy of an official academic record of all undergraduate and postgraduate subjects/symbols completed
