The status page is TUT's ITS iEnabler system. You only need your ID number; no PIN or password is required to view your status.
How to Check Your TUT Application Status
Step-by-Step Guide (TUT's official steps)
Visit www.tut.ac.za
Click on "Study@TUT" in the main menu, then select "Check Your Status". Or use the direct iEnabler link above.
Enter your ID number
Type your 13-digit South African ID number in the required field. The screen says "Enter ID Number to be able to see Application Status and Student Number".
Click "Submit"
A new screen appears displaying your reference number and your admission status for each programme choice.
View or print your letter
If a decision has been made, you will have the option to view and print a copy of the available letter from the Office of the Registrar.

If the status page will not load
The iEnabler system is busiest right after closing dates and during January registration. Try again outside peak hours, or:

- • Check your email and SMS: TUT sends notifications once an application has been reviewed
What Your TUT Application Status Means
TUT does not publish a glossary of the exact labels shown on the iEnabler status screen. The outcomes below are the ones described in TUT's 2027 First Year Enrolment guide and 2027 academic calendar, using TUT's own wording where it exists. The label on your screen may be phrased slightly differently.

Acceptance is subject to capacity. TUT's guide states: "Acceptance is subject to available capacity according to the Student Enrolment Plan (SEP) and preference would be given to first-time entering students." Closing date: selected programmes
Selected Faculty of Science and Faculty of Humanities programmes. Now closed.
Closing date: most selection programmes
Arts and Design, Economics and Finance, Engineering and the Built Environment, remaining Humanities and Science programmes, and all international applications. Now closed.
Closing date: all other programmes (January 2027 intake)
Final undergraduate closing date for 2027. Still open as at 18 September 2026, but programmes may close earlier when full.

Only for programmes where there is still space available. No walk-ins.

How to accept a TUT offer
TUT's 2027 enrolment guide does not describe a separate "accept offer" button. When your status shows an admission letter, print it and secure your place by registering online between 14 and 31 January 2027. TUT gives unfilled places to the waiting list "to fill the places of those who did not register on time", so registering on time is how you confirm your place. Beware of application scams
TUT warns that it does not post messages on random websites, WhatsApp, Twitter or Facebook promising to assist with applications or guaranteeing admission for a fee. The only status check is on tut.ac.za. Report scams to the TUT Ethics Hotline on 0800 006 924.

How do I check my TUT application status with my ID number?
Go to tut.ac.za, click "Study@TUT", then "Check Your Status" (the direct link is https://ienabler.tut.ac.za/pls/prodi41/wtut012pkg.startup). Enter your South African ID number and click Submit. A new screen shows your reference number and admission status, and lets you view and print your admission letter if one is available.
I do not have an ID number. Can I still check my TUT status?
Yes. The TUT iEnabler status page has an alternative option for applicants without an ID number. Enter your surname, full name and date of birth exactly as they appear on your application to see your application status and student number.
What is the closing date for TUT 2027 applications?
TUT used three closing dates for the 2027 intake: 15 June 2026 for selected Science and Humanities programmes, 31 July 2026 for Arts and Design, Economics and Finance, Engineering and the Built Environment, the remaining Humanities and Science programmes and all international applications, and 30 September 2026 for all other programmes. TUT also closes individual programmes earlier when they are full. Late applications for programmes with space open online from 14 to 22 January 2027.
When does TUT release application outcomes for 2027?
TUT assesses applications in batches after each closing date. Selection cards for the 15 June 2026 closing date had to be returned to Enrolment Management and Planning by 30 September 2026, and those for the 30 September 2026 closing date by 1 December 2026. Final selections for Grade 12 applicants are only completed after final NSC results are processed from 11 to 14 January 2027. TUT says it informs applicants of their status by an official letter from the Office of the Registrar, and that you can check the status screen at any time.
What does "provisional admission" mean at TUT?
TUT grants provisional admission to applicants who applied on Grade 11 or mid-year Grade 12 results, "pending the final submission of Grade 12 results". Your place becomes firm once your final NSC results meet the programme's APS and subject requirements. If they do not, the offer can be withdrawn.
