Who can apply for the CCBSA Study Buddy Fund Bursary?

South African citizens with financial need who are in Grade 12 with a Bachelor's pass, or applying for first year at an accredited SA tertiary institution. Some intakes also support students completing their 1st or 2nd year. You must not be affiliated with CCBSA or its affiliates, and preference is given to students from CCBSA host communities.

What does the bursary cover?

It covers full tuition and registration fees, accommodation, a meal allowance and prescribed textbooks. The programme also provides holistic support such as career advice and study-skills development.

When does the CCBSA Study Buddy Fund close?

Do I need to live in a CCBSA host community to apply?

No, but preference is given to students residing in CCBSA host communities such as Mdantsane, Motherwell, Phoenix, Inanda, Tembisa, Greater Eldorado Park and Mangaung, among others. All qualifying South African applicants are encouraged to apply.
